The old PolarView monthly series ran between 2005-2011.  Please see the Performance section for detailed review of the remarkable track record throughout this period.

The new PolarView quarterly series from 2012 continues the same approach and format.  Each report contains subjective opinion of technical and fundamental elements  --  ie. analysis of where the market is, where it is going, and why.  PolarView includes explicit forecasts but no entry/exit instructions.

Each report covers 4 markets  --  SPX in every quarterly issue plus another 3 markets from one of the four main classes on a rotating basis.

Each topic discussed in the PolarView quarterly series follows a consistent structure:

• Breadth + Volume Tools

[Note:  The above list is for illustrative purposes only, and the selection of particular factors used in the reports will vary from quarter to quarter, with a strong emphasis usually on identifying support and resistance junctures via a confluence of wavecounts, intersecting channels, nested ratios, and divergent oscillators.]

Format

Colour-coded and wave-annotated charts are always included to highlight technical developments.  

Documents themselves are standard PDF files viewable directly with web browser or free Adobe Acrobat Reader

Delivery

Access code for download sent by email in the first week of each quarter.  The schedule aims for the first Sunday, but the nature of the process is variable.

Wholesale Clients

In accordance with licensing mandated by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission since March 2004 all Polar Pacific client services involving "advice" are available only to the following groups of "wholesale" clients (as defined in the Australian Corporations Act 2001 and amendments):

• [s.761G(7)(b)]   --   "financial institutions" or other businesses with at least 20 employees  
   

• [s.761G(7)(d)]   --  "professional investors", comprised of:   
   

  • financial services licensees  

  • funds or individuals controlling at least AUD 10 million  

  • businesses which have raised funds via public offer for investment in financial products
       

• [s.761G(7)(c)]  --  "private individuals" who can certify either of the following
      

  • gross income above AUD 250,000 in each of the past two years

  • net assets above AUD 2.5 million 
        

• [s.761GA]  --  "sophisticated investors", defined as any person (the client) who can provide assurance that they have previous experience in using financial services and investing in financial products that allows the client themself to assess each of the following:
       

  • the merits of the financial products or services

  • the value of the financial products or services

  • the risks associated with holding the financial products 

  • the client's own information needs

  • the adequacy of information provided by the licensee and the product issuer

As the notional underlying value of the derivatives to which the PolarView reports relate could exceed the AUD 500,000 minimum stipulated in Reg. 7.1.22(2) these publications represent "wholesale" financial products advice as per s.761G(7)(a), and are not appropriate for "retail" persons.  
 
Please note that all capital and positions are managed by clients directly in their own trading accounts.  The Australian company, Polar Pacific Pty Ltd, does not accept any funds for management.
